May 20th is shaping up to be a very busy day in Ida. The Ida Civic Club will once again be hosting the Trash, Treasure and Trinket Village. It is so much more than just a craft/vendor show. There will be something for everyone at this event. New stuff, old stuff, crafts, antiques just about anything that you can imagine will be available. PICKERS are Welcome. This is indeed my kind of event… where else can you go to find trash as well as treasures all in the same place? And I am sure there will be a trinket there too just for you.
The Trash Treasure and Trinket Village is a fundraiser for the Ida Civic Clubs Scholarship Fund.
The Friends of the Ida Library will once again be hosting their Huge Book Sale. If you have never been to this it really is UNBELIEVABLE! I can think of no other word to describe it.. This year they will be holding the book sale inside the Ida Township Community Room.
In memory of the late Ida Library Friend’s member and long time book sale committee head Patricia Hammond the Sale has been renamed “The Pat Hammond – Friends of the Ida Library Book Sale”
They will have books on just about any topic you can image. Not only that… but they are put into sections for you to view. You can actually find what is of interest to YOU!….. What is the price of the books…? What are they worth to you? The Friends group simply asks you for a donation…. keep in mind this group does many things for not only the Library itself but also for the community… Please be generous with your donation so the group is able to keep their good work growing.
Please support our wonderful library…..

Ida Friends of the Library will be organizing the community wide garage sales. This is a project that our Librarian, Suzanne takes such great care in putting together for the garage sale enthusiast. She will have a “Map” of all of the garage sales that are being held throughout the community on this day. The “Maps” will be available for pickup at the Ida Library or viewed online a few days before the event.
